The Birmingham Boxing  Column is a site set up to give news reviews and information about boxing in Birmingham and the black country. From the professionals, unlicensed, White Collar and Amateur if we hear about it we will report on it. Our aim is to promote boxing in Birmingham and highlight some of the up and coming boxers in and around Birmingham.

To do this we will need your help if you are a boxer with a story to tell whatever level contact us and we may well use your story or even do an interview with you. Calling all promoters and coaches again whatever level if you want your show or gym promoted on this site we will be happy to do a piece on you and your show or gym. We may even come to your gym or show (if given tickets) to review and give our opinion on how we have thought the show went.

To Clarify we want to promote the positive aspects of boxing in Birmingham so we will not be giving any negative reviews on this site. If we review your show/gym and we don't post it you know why.

About the Team

Dexter Hastings started the Birmingham Boxing Column in June 2016 with just himself a note pad and an old camera, now with the help of our Sponsors the column has state of the art camera equipment and has now branched out to have its own flagship Youtube show Welcome to Fightden. We also have a home base of Fightden boxing gym in Digbeth Birmingham where we have interviewed many of Birmingham and the Black Country's finest boxers from WBC International middleweight champ  Craig Cunningham to WBC International Super Bantamweight Champ Sean Davis. We have also interviewed former European, Commonwealth and British Welter champ Sam Eggington, current British and world middleweight title challenger Tommy Langford and former Commonwealth champ Don Broadhurst.

We also now have 2 cameramen to help out in interviews and for snapping pictures at the shows, Conor Hastings is Dexter's son and is at college at the moment doing a B=tech in design technology in which he studies photography. Jimmy Deen is Dexter's cousin and has shown an interest in photography and has taken some great pictures some of which have been published in the Birmingham Mail.
