In the first of 5 face offs on the day we saw light heavyweight champion Gimi Duran face off against Hasan Guzel.
Hasan seemed disappointments that this 3 round fight was not for Gimi's title. Hasan has had 4 fights winning them all and seemed confident about victory over the fiery Albanian.
Gimi who has had 5 fights, winning 3 drawing 1 and with only 1 defeat. also Gimi seemed confident and also predicted victory.
We have now been told that this fight will now be for the the light heavyweight title all title fights will be over 4 x 2 minute rounds
In the second face off was between Sher Fiaz the welterweight champion and the challenger Brendan Short. Sher one of three brothers fighting on the show has predicted a complete shut out and is going to completely out box him.
Brendan who has had 5 fights winning them all 3 by way of knock out, Brendan is feeling good and can only see a win for himself.
The third face off was a mouth watering contest between light welterweight champion Nico Ogbeide and his challenger Sham Fiaz. Nico informed me he would win on points in good fashion.
Sham who has had 11 fights winning 7 and lost 4, Sham stated “He is getting rumbled”.
The stare down for this fight was intense and it is looking like a pick for fight of the night.
The fourth face off was Lenny Coley against Akbar Fiaz, Lenny is an ex Kickboxer who has had 85 kickboxing bouts and winning 83. Lenny told me he was confident and could stop his opponent.
This is Akbar’s first bout of boxing, I asked him how he thought he would get on against the former Kickboxer. Akbar informed me “He can’t kick can he, I am looking forward to the match”.
