Rising Tide
TOP Promotions
Friday 21st of October will see the start of an exciting weekend of boxing in Birmingham. With Sam Eggington and Frankie Gavin headlining “The Battle of Brum” show at the Barclay card arena Birmingham on Saturday 22nd Tommy Owen Promotions kicks off the weekend of boxing with “Rising Tide”. The show will be held at the Holte suite, Villa park and is being head lined by Charlie Williams who is challenging for a title.
There is a great line up of local talent with some new names added to the roster, namely Birmingham Boxing Column’s one to watch Jordan Lynch.
The rest of the line up consists of Kelcie Ball, Sid Bowater, Daniel Spencer, Drew Brown and Harry Fiaz.
I contacted Jordan to find out how he was feeling about his debut match. He told me “I'm buzzing, I'm counting down the days till fight night. Shaun Cogan has got me working hard every day at Fightden. We have increased the rounds to 3 minutes now and increased the work rate. I'm very excited to put on a show for all my friends and family and show off my hard work”.
I also contacted Tommy Owen the promotor of the show to get a quote off his he told me “it's going to be explosive”.
Dexter’s Thoughts
I can honestly say I can not wait for this October weekend to start, the rising tide show is set to be a great start to a great weekend of boxing and I'm very happy to say the Birmingham boxing column has press passes to rising tide and will be giving a full report on all the fights. As for the battle of Brum, we are. Waiting for a replay off matchroom but what a week this will be for boxing in Birmingham I can't wait.
