This Christmas

Birmingham fight fans will be spoiled for choice over the Christmas period, as there are a multiple of unlicensed boxing event going on around Birmingham and the Black Country. The Birmingham Boxing Column has compiled a list of some of the shows going on coming up to the Christmas period.

"Fire in the Ring"

Starting off the Christmas period early in November is JaM Promotions and the Women’s Boxing Club with "Fire in the Ring" on Sunday 6th November. The show will be held at the home of boxing in Birmingham the Irish Centre Digbeth, tickets cost £15 standard and VIP’s are £20 and doors open at 1pm.

This is an all female show, showcasing the best female unlicensed boxers in Birmingham.

"In Remembrance"

Fight league presents "In Remembrance" on the 11th of November at Matharu's Supreme Suite West Bromwich in aid of Homeless Veterans Tickets are £30 each and doors open at 6pm. There are some cracking fights on this show notably a rematch from the CBU days McDonald v Motley which ended in a draw the first time.

"Retribution"

The next show is again at the Irish Centre Digbeth and is promoted by newcomers Triple G Promotions. The show is called "Retribution" and will be on Friday 26th November with a multiple of promotion belts on the line. Also the first official Birmingham Boxing Challenge belt will be contested on this show.

Tickets cost £20 standard and £30 VIP

Doors open at 6.30pm

"Never Back Down IV"

Then on Saturday the 26th of November Team Fox Promotions presents "Never Back Down IV" at the Arena Stourbridge.

Standard tickets are £25 and a 10 seat VIP table costs £350

Doors open at 3pm

“Fists of Fury”

Starting off the December Shows is Fightden & Blood Sweat & Tears “Fists of Fury” to beheld at The H Suite Edgbaston on the 2nd December.

With various Semi-professional boxing federation belts on the line.

Tickets cost £25 standard and £35 VIP

Doors open 6pm

“Playing with Fire”

On the same night 2nd December at Pryzm Night club Board street Birmingham, Showdown Entertainment presents “Playing with Fire”.

Where myself Dexter Hastings will be reffing part of the show then fighting for a senior Heavyweight title against the very expereanced Malcolm Stowe.

Tickets cost £20 standard and £30 VIP

“12 Bouts of Christmas”

Finally on December 9th at the Irish Centre Digbeth, 3DI presents “12 Bouts of Christmas”

Tickets cost £20 and doors open at 6.30pm

There is also an after show party at Bordesley Labour club.

The Birmingham Boxing Column will be attending most of these shows if possible and giving you a full review.

It seems to be a very busy Christmas for the bbcolumn with the professionals having a few shows of there own.
