Gavin Joins BCB
BCB Promotions are delighted to announce that Frankie Gavin has signed a management contract with the stable.
The former British and Commonwealth Champion has signed a one year deal with BCB’s Head of Boxing, Errol Johnson.
“I’m delighted to have Frankie on board,” Johnson told bcb-promotions.com. “He’s one of the most talented boxers that Britain has ever produced and I firmly believe there are still some very big fights out there for him.
“Frankie knows what we expect of him, and vice-versa, so I’m relishing the opportunity to get him to where we both think he should be.”
The 32 year-old held the British and Commonwealth titles between 2012 and 2015, and challenged Kel Brook for the IBF welterweight title in 2015. As an amateur Gavin won a gold medal at the 2007 World Championships becoming England's first ever winner of that event. He also won lightweight gold at the 2006 Commonwealth Games.
BCB are hoping to have fight news for Frankie in the not to distant future.
“I’m glad to be signing with Errol,” added Gavin. “I have known him a long time and I know he can guide me to a few more successful nights in my career. There’s some big fight news coming soon so watch this space.”
