BcB's Lennox Clarke has been given the opportunity to fight for the British and Commonwealth Super Middleweight titles live on BT sports. Clarke (29) will be taking on the unbeaten Willy Hutchinson (22) on the 5th of December on the Queensberry promotions show. Hutchinson from Scotland has won all of his 13 contests to date and has amassed 9 stoppages and has yet to do more than 6 rounds in a fight. Hutchinson's last two fights were meant to be over 10 rounds but he stopped both opponents in the first round. Clarke has also got an impressive record with 19 wins 1 draw with his only defeat coming in his last fight which was for the super Middleweight British title where he lost on a split decision against Lerrone Richards. Both the Commonwealth and the British titles are now vacant and Clarke will be looking to bring both these prestigious titles back to the Midlands.
Dexter's Thought’s
The Lockdown has given a lot of fighters from the Midlands title shots recently and has showcased a lot of fighters from Birmingham and the Black Country. It's great to see Lennox get a second shot at the British title as his last one was a close one. Clarke will be looking to rectify this and claim the Commonwealth title as well. Hutchinson's record is impressive you can not deny that and he has stopped 9 opponents but Clarke is one tough customer and if he can take it into the later rounds Hutchinson may be asked a few questions. I look forward to seeing Lennox back in the ring and hopefully being crowned British & Commonwealth Super Middleweight champ.
