On Friday (May 28th) BCB duo Levi Ferguson and Conah Walker go toe-to-toe on Fightzone for the Midlands Area Super-Welterweight Title writes Matt Farrington. It’s an intriguing contest between the Black Country pair. “I’m feeling great, it’s the best camp I’ve ever had,” Wolverhampton based Walker told bcb-promotions.com. “I’m fit as a fiddle; I’ve been blasting out ten rounds in the gym easily.
“It’s a big night, it is my first title and will be my biggest achievement in the pro game so far but I’m not looking past Levi." The former Ricky Hatton trained fighter has also been sparring with former Midlands Super Welterweight champion, Kaisee Benjamin, who previously beat Ferguson, in an attempt to get the inside track on the Walsall warrior. “I had some great spars with Kaisee Benjamin in the gym, it’s good learning. “Not only is this high-quality sparring, but it might also provide a valuable insight on how to beat Levi.” Ferguson though firmly believes he has improved since that loss, and that he will be ready for whatever Walker has in store on Friday.
The Walsall-based fighter, Levi Ferguson has been training hard with other talented BCB Promotions fighters. Among these are names such as British and Commonwealth Champion Lennox Clarke, big fight veteran ‘Mexi-Kane’ Baker, and WBO number one contender Zach Parker.
“My mind is focused on the task at hand,” he explained. “That’s performing to my maximum and securing the victory.
“I am extremely motivated and have been throughout the entire lock-down situation, improving and developing in all areas.
“The camp has been very effective, and I am looking forward to showing all my improvements since my last fight.”
The fight between Conah Walker and Levi Ferguson will take place over 10 rounds in Sheffield with heavyweight Kash Ali topping the bill. Find out more, visit www.fightzone.uk.
