Holland Wins Second Pro Contest

Writer's picture: Dexter HastingsDexter Hastings

Wolverhampton’s Mia Holland took her Professional boxing record to two without defeat at the Hangar Event Venue (8.3.25). The twenty one year old orthodox fighter was taking on Argentinian Shirley Molina (30) in a four two-minute round contest in the Featherweight division. Holland weighed in eight stone eight with Molina coming in eight stone eleven with Ryan Churchill refereeing.

Fast start by Holland who controlled the ring well from the first bell with everything coming off the jab with some nice backhands and combinations. Holland continued to land nice backhands in the second with Molina staying composed as Holland controlled the centre of the ring.

Molina asked some questions in third pressing Holland who seemed to have all the answers landing nice back hand and combinations with some great movement. Holland started the final round fast landing some nice combinations as Molina continued to ask questions but Holland showed great movement and shot picking making it a clean sweep.

Ref Ryan Churchill Scored it 40 to 36 to Holland I had it the same

Dexter’s Thoughts

Great performance by Holland making her pro record two without defeat. Holland showcased some great movement and nice control using a nice sharp jab with some great combinations and backhands. Holland looks like she has the potential to go far in boxing and the way female, boxing is set out Holland could be fighting for big titles in the next few years. This is all dependent on her continue to win and putting on great performance’s and from what I have seen Holland has the goods to deliver. I look forward to seeing Holland in the ring very soon.
