Birmingham’s ‘Spider’ Ibraheem Sulaimaan scored another Cracking stoppage victory over Nicaraguan Marvin Solano (34) at Resorts World Birmingham (30,11,24). The twenty-three-year-old switch hitting southpaw took his record to six undefeated and his fourth stoppage on the undercard of the Edwards v Yafai show promoted by Matchroom. Sulaimaan weighed in nine stone five, with Solano coming in nine stone seven in a six round super feather weight contest reffed by Pete McCormick.
Sulaimaan had a good look at Solano seeing what he had to offer, Spider stepped up the pace near the end of the round winning it with ease.
Sulaimaan step it up in the seconds going though the gears letting fast shots go to the head and body, Spider picked his shots well landing some heavy body shots landing a peach of a body shot folding Solano with the ref Pete McCormick counting him out two minutes fifthly four seconds into the second round.
Dexter’s Thoughts
Another great performance by Spider as he takes his record to six without defeat. This was his fourth stoppage of his career and was his first fight on his new Matchroom contest. Spider was one of the Columns boxers to watch last year and will definitely be one to watch this year as I can see Sulaimaan contesting for title this year without a doubt. With the backing of his manager Jaykay and Matchroom promotions behind him the further looks bright for the man know as Spider.
