Twenty-eight-year-old Danny Skidmore took his professional boxing record to three without defeat on the Black Country Promotions show ‘Pride of the Black Country’ held on 21.06.24). The Tipton fighter was taking on Stefan Vincent (33) in a four-round contest at the Hangar Venue Wolverhampton. This was part of a night of a five-fight card with Skidmore weighing in ten stone five and Vincent coming in ten stone nine in this Super Welterweight competition with Pete McCormick reffing.
Fast start by Skidmore who used his jab well to push Vincent back and landed some nice combinations winning the round. Skidmore continued to press and pressure in the second round with some nice fast-paced boxing, Vincent rallied getting some nice shots off of his own but Skidmore continued to press just edging the round.
Skidmore used his jab well in the third with Vincent firing back keeping it competitive, as the round went on Skidmore continued to press landing great combinations. Everything came off Skidmore's jab in the final round as Vincent continued to fight back but Skidmore landed some great combinations to the head and body cruising to victory.
Ref Pete McCormick scored it 40 to 36 Skidmore, I had it the same.
Dexter’s Thoughts
Skidmore looked good as he pressured and pressed his opponent for all of the four rounds. Skidmore showcased a nice jab and some very nice combinations as he won every round and is looking like a fighter with loads of potential. I have seen all of his three contests and have been impressed and look forward to seeing him fight again.
