Coventry’s River Wilson-Bent has now got an opponent and a date for his Midlands Middleweight title challenge. Unbeaten Wilson-Bent (26) will be taking on the also unbeaten Troi Coleman (25) from Burntwood. Coleman who debuted in September of 2018 has won all of his 6 contests which have all been over 4 rounds. Wilson-Bent has won all seven of his contests with 3 coming by stoppage and two of his fights being over 6 rounds. This Midlands Middleweight title fight will be the co-headline fight on the Hennessy Sports show on the 18th December along with Shakan Pitters against Craig Richards for the British Light Heavyweight title.

Wilson-Bent who usually fights at super Welterweight will be moving up a division after his Midlands title at his weight fell threw. Coleman will be coming down from Super-Middleweight where he has fought all 6 fights at.

Dexter’s Thought’s

Another cracking fight to showcase Midlands boxing and it will be live and free on Channel 5. Both fighters have impressed me when I have seen them fight and they have similar records. This is a good match-up by matchmaker Jon Pegg for Hennessy Sports Live show and will be a great fight of that I have no doubt. Wilson-Bent has had one more fight than Coleman and you would have to say has more boxing experience after fighting 2 six rounders and being on a big Queensberry promotions show at the Birmingham arena. This may give Wilson-Bent the edge in this great contest but Coleman will naturally be the bigger man as he comes down it weight and will be Wilson-Bent’s toughest fight. The Birmingham Boxing Column looks forward to seeing these two talented fighters go at it Live and free on Channel 5.
